The Empire showing is located west of the Ingenika River approximately 18 kilometres northwest of Johanson Lake.

The Empire occurrence area is underlain the Upper Triassic Savage Mountain Formation (Takla Group) consisting of augite porphyry basalt flow, breccia, pillow breccia, tuff and interbedded bladed feldspar porphyry.

In 2014, Pacific Empire Minerals Corp. conducted a brief reconnaissance program on their Copper King claims. Corp. They described a lone sample (2086913), collected east of the D.S. showing (094D 004), as being a Takla volcanic snowflake lath porphyry. The sampled area had strong calc-silicate (epidote-garnet-pyroxene) alteration with moderately-strong kaolinite overprint. Abundant malachite and chalcocite, and minor magnetite were reported. Sample 2086913 graded 0.69 copper, 0.052 gram per tonne gold, and 4.25 gram per tonne silver (Assessment Report 35402).

See Copper King (094D 149) for details of work done in this vicinity from 1973 to 2018.
